A Few Of My Favorite Things

A Few Of My Favorite Things

  • Espresso set (Bottom Left): This is a significant item to me, as coffee has always been a cultural interest of mine from a geographical and anthropology standpoint. I've always enjoyed learning about it, and I have purchased my own tools and machine to continue to expand my knowledge and try new things.
  • Note (Top Left): This note holds significance to me, because it was given to me by a very close friend. Its contents explain how grateful they are to have me in their life and note some of the great experiences we've had together, like going to the beach for the sunset for instance.
  • Watch (Center): This watch was given to my by my father and purchased from an antique shop. It was shipped in the same day that he bought it and it almost felt "meant to be," as it is something i frequently wear and identify with. I feel that this is an extension of his guidance, as he is always organized and on time to everything. Therefore, it is almost an extension of his wisdom.
  • Golden Ring (Top Right): This ring was given to me by my mother, and it is the first piece of jewelry she's ever given me. I wear it everyday and hold it dear to my heart, as it is a family heirloom. My Mom is such a light in my life, so everytime I look down at my ring, it reminds me of her and the relationship we have grown to share.
  • Shell (Bottom Right): This shell was also a gift to me from my father. Until I was 12 years old, he worked out of state for a dredging company. He used to find many shells and artifacts on his journeys. This gift has always meant a lot to me, as you can almost hear mimics of the ocean when you bring it to your ear, which always made me feel closer to him despite him living across the country.
